Australia’s HFC phase-down regulatory developments will be highlighted at the Wire & Gas conference in Brisbane. Dr Paul Taylor, director of Atmospheric Chemicals Policy at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, serves as the keynote speaker.
The expert panel includes Kylie Farrelley from Refrigerant Reclaim Australia and Greg Picker, chair of the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC). “Wire & Gas 2026 is an opportunity to bring together the automotive industry to discuss licensing, refrigerant management and regulatory obligations.”
Co-hosted by VASA and The Automotive Technician under the theme “Better Together,” the conference runs July 31 - August 2 at The Westin Brisbane.
Additional programming includes a session on the revised Australian Automotive Air Conditioning Code of Practice, updated for the first time since 2008 with EPA support. ARC’s technical and training manager, Noel Munkman, will participate in panel discussions on refrigerant regulation.
