Goldman Sachs now expects the RBA to hold at 4.35% throughout 2026 before cutting gradually to 3.60% in 2027. Goldman had previously leaned towards a final 25-basis-point increase at the August meeting, but says the downside inflation surprise has shifted the balance of risks firmly towards an extended hold.
